Project Summary, Objectives and Results

Project Summary

The overall objective of the project is to reduce  emerging tensions in GBAO (Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomours region) through establishing sustainable and efficient networks  of young leaders engaged in policy dialogue, social and economic development of their communities, which will be achieved through the creation of a sustainable and structured environment.

The project also responds to the global objective “strengthen the capacity of the civil society organizations to engage in an inclusive and participatory policy dialogue in relation to youth issues” through enhancing the capacity of a youth CSO network and youth debate clubs to promote civic engagement in youth policy dialogue, social and economic life of their communities.

Project Objectives
  • To create sustainable and structured environment for youth engagement in economic (income generation), civic (local policy dialogue) and social (community development) life through strengthening 3 local actors in GBAO.

  • Access to appropriate grants for youth in all 7 districts secured.
  • Networking structures and policy dialogue mechanisms to promote youth participation in social and economic life of their communities improved.
