Project Summary

“Youth Agents for Change – Combating Discrimination Based on Gender Age and Ethnicity” project involves three organizations from Europe and Central Asia, to be more specific: Poland, Kyrgyzstan, and Sweden.

Objective

To promote transnational capacity building activities and mobility activities. Capacity-building activities aim to work on elimination of discrimination based on age, gender and ethnicity by putting youth in local communities as agents for change, who strive for a more democratic and inclusive society, where their rights are respected and their voices are heard. Transnational mobility activities ensure the exchange of best practices and experiences among three countries/members of the consortium and enable the successful application of these practices and experiences to reach the overall aim of the project.

Project Objectives
  • To build capacity of youth and youth organizations.
  • To sensitize community members regarding the issues related to age, gender and ethnicity through meetings and information campaigns.
  • To enable young people to become active citizens within their communities, who are included in democratic processes and demand their rights to be respected and protected.

  1. Exchange of best practices and experiences among three countries/members of consortium.

Project Results
  • The exchange of best practices and experiences through transnational mobility activities among three countries/members of the consortium ensured and the successful application of these practices and experiences to reach the overall aim of the project enabled.
  • Knowledge on mobilization techniques, youth and civil society organizations in a foreign context and different national and organizational structures, how to support local NGO in their work and get acquainted with new languages and social groups etc. among participants raised.
  • Sustainable project consortium that can survive the project period and share lessons learned on a broader scale, enabling structural impact in both European and Central Asian settings, by the mobility participants created.
