Project Summary, Objectives and Results

Project Summary

Since the beginning of the twenty-first century, the Internationalisation of Higher Education has become an irresistible trend under the influence of Globalisation. Educational reforms, training, and development of Human Resource are integral areas of the transition towards a democratic society and a market economy.

Nowadays, Kazakhstani and Chinese universities are facing an increase of outgoing international students and the income level is still very low. European universities have been defining and deploying International strategies in the past 20 years in order to face the challenges of mobility of students, teachers, and research in line with the different European Commission strategies, with a high level of competition and different university structures.

Overall objective: to enhance the international dimension of Kazakhstani and Chinese Higher Education Institutions by defining and implementing strategic and marketing methodologies in order to facilitate and increase incoming foreign students, Professors and Researchers.

Project Objectives
  • To improve internationalisation process at the Kazakhstani and Chinese HEIs.
  • To increase number of incoming students, teachers, researchers in partner countries.
  • To develop online international platform.
  • To increase % of HEIs that participate in the online platform for internationalisation.
  • To increase number of trained international relations managers, academic and technical staff.
  • To create international service-oriented centers.
  • To develop Strategic Plan for internationalisation.
