The Manager Training Programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) is an element of Germany’s foreign economic policy. According to the motto “Fit for Partnership”, the programme prepares executives from Asia, Eastern Europe, North Africa and Latin America for business relations and economic cooperations with German companies. The participants develop their management skills in interactive and practice-oriented training sessions and prepare for contacts with German companies. They learn the specifics of German business culture and improve their business demeanour and negotiating techniques. During visits to companies, the participants experience German companies first hand, and familiarise themselves with the modern technology and equipment there. They come into direct contact with potential business partners.
After training has been completed in the partner country, a joint commission selects the candidates who receive further practical training in Germany.
Two types of practical training programmes are offered: for Russian- or English-speaking management personnel German companies for German-speaking participants Programme financing in Germany Programme funds cover the costs of stipends, transportation and accommodation for participants.
