Project Summary, Objectives and Results

Project Summary

The project initiated close cooperation between representatives of the Kyrgyz economy (enterprises) and selected providers of further training in order to make the training programmes more responsive to the demands of the workplace. The activities in this regard were part of the overall strategy, “sustainable economic development”, of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development. Selected public and private training providers were provided with new curricula of a modular structure. Besides this, the German side supported the training providers with facilities to ensure the quality of the training courses.

Project Objectives

As a result of this intervention, the ability of the students to find an adequate job in the Kyrgyz economy should be enhanced.

– teaching and learning material for all qualification programmes are developed
– donor harmonisation via round table discussions
– brochures on occupational safety for education in the welding sector are developed
