Project Summary, Objectives and Results

Project Summary

One important government measure to meet labour market dynamism in VET involved the implementation of a State Programme 2008-2012 focussed on VET modernization in order to provide better access to VET, enhancing its attractiveness, to strengthen the quality of training and competitiveness of VET staff and to increase the efficiency of VET management and financing.

Project Objectives

The programme includes plans for improvements to:

– the qualification system;
– state compulsory standards aligned with in ternational requirements in 230 specialties;
– integrated curricula (education programmes) in 224 specialties;
– 1,440 training programmes in special disciplines;
– modular curricula in 31 specialties within the framework of international projects.
