Project Summary

Since 2002 the project on establishment Community learning centres (CLCs) has been implemented in Central Asia, namely in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. CLCs have been equipped, focal points have been trained. CLC is the tool and mechanism for promotion of NFE and literacy, as well as adult and life skills education for youth and adults from remote and rural areas. UNESCO Almaty will continue to support the existing CLCs in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan through organizing capacity building workshops at national level and consultation meeting.
