Project Summary, Objectives and Results
This is an initiative implemented in partnership by the Norwegian company SYSLAB International and UNDP. SYSLAB International developed a new technology of employment generation and SME development, which was implemented in EU countries, the Baltic States and Russia. SYSLAB’s approach contains training, motivation of programme participants, networks to local companies, interviews and business plan developments. The project is realized on the basis of the employment exchange through the Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Persons of the South Kazakhstan Oblast in Shymkent.
The aim of the project is to establish 3 SYSLAB laboratories in Astana, Almaty and Shymkent, and support 150 people in finding jobs or starting their own businesses.

The SYSLAB six-monthly program of employment and development of small and medium business includes trainings on effective search of work and business plan development. In partnership with Almaty city administration the Project is realized on the basis of the employment exchange, on the basis of the City Centre of Employment in Astana and through the Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Persons of the South Kazakhstan Oblast in Shymkent.
• Three SYSLAB laboratories are functional in Astana, Almaty and Shymkent.
