Project Summary, Objectives and Results
The project is positioned to pilot the implementation of European Credit Transfer System for VET (ECVET) in the national HE&VET system of Russia and Uzbekistan by creating a long-term platform on the base of acknowledged HEIs engaged in the training of VET teachers for post-secondary non-tertiary education level. The key idea of the project is to focus the study of theoretical bases of functioning of ECVET and mastering of practical experience in Program Countries on the necessity of Russia and Uzbekistan to have the compatible and comparable VET system that serves both horizontally (within VET) and vertically (from VET to HE) at national and transnational level. The basic ECVET features such as learning outcomes, credit transfer, etc. will be tested and adapted to legislative rules of the Partners Countries; results of the projects will be submitted to national Ministries of Education for approval and further implementation.
The piloting ECVET is considered as a key measure for facilitating the flexibility and internationalization of VET in Russia and Uzbekistan – while at the same time contributing to the development of a common educational area encompassing both the HE& VET field between Europe and neighboring countries. The global impact of our project is modernization, accessibility and internationalization of the HE & VET area in Russia and Uzbekistan by enlarging visibility and transparency of the knowledge, skills and competence acquired by learners in Russia, Uzbekistan and EU.

WP2. Transfer and Adaptation of the ECVET Technical Specifications to the Partner Countries. This WP focuses on the transfer and adaptation of the ECVET tool to the national context in the two Partner Countries.
WP3 Learning Outcomes Curriculum Mapping. The mapping of the VET qualifications/courses in terms of leaning outcomes is the cornerstone of the ECVET conversion process.
WP 4. Converting VET Qualifications/courses into the ECVET system. The aim of this Activity is to convert the identified 24 VET qualifications/courses – 15 in Russia and 9 in Uzbekistan (3 each provider/selected units only) – to the ECVET system. Each VET Provider will be responsible for converting their own programmes based on a common template (Master Guide).
WP 5. Delivery of the Converted Qualifications/courses and Testing of the Personal Transcript. The aim of this Activity is threefold: (1) pilot delivery of the ECVET curricula within each VET provider level and receive evaluation feedback from key stakeholders/target groups; (2) to test the process of credit transfer on commonly agreed pre-selected units at national level; and (3) to develop a commonly agreed framework/approach for credit transfer.
WP 6. National ECVET Training Centers & Training. The aim of this Activity is threefold: (1) Establishment of 4 ECVET National Training Centres – 2 in Russia and 2 in Uzbekistan. Each centre will offer a dedicated and fully equipped professional training space for delivering ECVET workshops under the instruction of trained instructors who have participated in the RUECVET project. The training centres will organize and promote ECVET info sessions/training seminars/workshops and in general serve as ECVET/ECTS labs. Information about the operations of the ECVET training centres will be published on the project’s website; (2) Establishment of a network of national RUECVET National Contact Representatives & ECVET experts – total 30 from Partner Countries – to be featured on the project website with the aim of promoting project results as follows; (3) Delivery of RUECVET Training Workshops – A total of four (4) RUECVET Training Workshops will be held in each National ECVET Training Centers (2 in Russia and 2 in Uzbekistan) in order to disseminate and exploit the project products and results while promoting the national network of ECVET National Contact Points for further support.
