Project Summary

The study was a collaborative research project conducted by Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education and its strategic partner the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School Of Education. This research project is designed to understand the role of a government-sponsored student mobility program in promoting human capital development.

Project Objectives
  • To define the role of student mobility in promoting human capital development.
  • To examine the forces that influence participation in and benefits of the Bolashak programme, a particular government-sponsored international student-mobility programme sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Science, Republic of Kazakhstan.
  • To understand the characteristics of international student mobility programs those are sponsored by governments worldwide.
