Project Summary, Objectives and Results

Project Summary

Assistance in implementation of innovative approaches in the sphere of education and contribution to the reform of the education system of the Kyrgyz Republic. A project designed to expand access to modern and innovative vocational training for better employment and increase income of rural residents by improving the capacity of rural training providers to respond flexibly to labor market demands. The project is based on three main activities – strengthening the capacity of key stakeholders in the system of vocational education (vet), the creation of social partnership at the regional level, and the introduction of innovations in vet at the national level.

  • To achieve the greater contribution and impact to the national VET system in its activities towards better management, market-oriented and accessible education services provided to the population.

Project Results
  • Memorandum about implementation of the project with Agency of Vocational Education (AVE) and Republic Science Methodical Center (RSMC) and fixing of the work plan by AVE signed.
  • 23 workers form RCMC and AVE, 63 heads of administrations, 190 teachers form VS’s qualifications improved.
  • On the base of Labor Market was 14 professions identified.
  • Schools provided with modular packages and the workshop classrooms were equipped with modern equipment and interactive boards.
  • Web-portal in every school developed and used.
  • Learning new specialties on the base of a modular system carried  out , an interactive method of teaching used.
  • 1706 students in 14 professions in short term courses from 20 vocational schools and 1 education center educated.
  • For graduates tracer study by vocational schools conducted.
  • In every oblast a regional working group formed.
