Project Summary, Objectives and Results

Project Summary

Universities have their own organisational structures, in which there is a certain potential for the development of shared governance. In many universities, the management system still has the predominant ‘top-down’ nature of the power hierarchy. In some universities, the influence of the rector is dominant. This negatively affects the quality of debates and discussions needed for effective decision-making. The analysis presented in the study reveals the need to study the development of the system of shared governance.
