The project aimed to achieve sustainable human livelihoods by introducing innovative and sustainable approaches for improved life conditions of smallholder farmers through identification and sharing of best practices. The project had three main components:

I. Capacity building for smallholder farmers, private sector actors, research and academic institutions, and civil society on technology, agricultural research and sustainable development, and the enhancement of agro-climatic potential.
The project foresees to contribute to the strengthening of the capacity of smallholder farmers, private sector actors, research and academic institutions and civil society, to increase productivity and promote sustainable development.
It is also expected to strengthen the capacity of policy-makers and governmental institutions to provide necessary public goods and services, and encourage more networking, communication and interactions among all stakeholders of the process.
